Very enjoyable Pinot from a wine club (Cellars Club 90+). I expected a little more from a small producer from good vintage from a good area. Sour cherry, strawberry jam, cranberry, subtle vanilla and a hint of earth. Some spice on the palate with subtle but ripe fruit. Good acidity and medium body but seemed just a little empty on the mid-palate and ended with a medium finish. Overall, a good Pinot but not a great one IMO. — 10 years ago

As expected, a reddish hue to the amber, giving this an added warmth visually. Nice diversity of turtle back bubble clusters falling through the negative space of fine bubbled vines forming to leave a cantilevered lacing. The rye gives an earthy note to fig and malty caramel and mangrove honey, while blood orange and sweet lemon rise like a mirage. Great beer entry with a polished iron aspect cutting into the cooked ginger, wild rice and dark tea tastes and textures. A soft recollection of spun sugar heating. Soft and sweet, while bitter and deep. Session-able, with a pause for contemplative memory. .

This one was lost in the shuffle, better late than never? Darkest brunette, white-ish top, loose, then tight and poof, gone. Slick with oils that allow no lacing. Ginger-chilies leap to the forefront. Chocolate-tiramisu, green peppercorn, vanilla, nutmeg, gingerbread, violets, the nibs. Ginger and cola, soft gingerbreads and fig newton, light coffee, chocolate cola, green pepper, vanilla, nutmeg, chilies, white pepper, and more tiramisu, with a good cinnamon dusting.
