T.w. Pitchers

Groth Vineyards & Winery

Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

From a 6 liter bottle opened and then poured into several pitchers - decanters. This wine was fantastic to celebrate dad’s 70th birthday with the entire extended family.

Good fruit and nice depth to it. Easy to drink and paired well with chateaubriand, penne alla vodka and eggplant parm.

Ollauri Gran Reserva Rioja Tempranillo 1964

Drank this last night at Coqueta in SF after pitchers of Sangria! So palate was bit off but wine sang elegantly start to finish. Very different than last bottle from same lot so bottle variance in these are huge. This one was feminine and lovely as last one bit like Brutis...weird. — 8 years ago
