Grapefruit Sculpin India Pale Ale

I’m a sucker for an IPA and some natural citrus and I’m sold. If you like a hoppy beer this is one for you. If not steer clear!! Strong and bitter ain’t for everyone.

Great summer IPA. Lovely.

It showcases bright flavors and aromas of apricot, peach, mango & lemon. The lighter body also brings out the crispness of the hops. The Sculpin fish has poisonous spikes on its fins that can give a strong sting. Ironically, the meat from a Sculpin fish is considered some of the tastiest. Something that has a sting but tastes great; sounds like a Ballast Point India Pale Ale. This version of Sculpin IPA has grapefruit added; the grapefruit flavor really enhances the citrus aroma of the hops.

Enjoying one of my favorites on National Beer Day. A 9.3 beer sure is a lot cheaper than a 9.3 wine..

I really like this one, though the IPA character is no longer my thing... it balances much better with the Grapefruit in this one, and it’s very enjoyable!

Fragrant tasty IPA without the grapefruit being overpowered.

Love this beer. Grapefruit notes help offset mouth dryingness of the hops. Not fruity - well balanced, and worth the $$$.

When you can, get into a grapefruit IPA...great citrus hop.
