It's a complex little number, with a nose that kicks off some menthol, dense wood, licorice, and a touch of coal. On the body, more fruit comes trough, notes of blackberry and currant emerge, plus a backbone of dark chocolate and a bit of coffee grounds. Some fresh tobacco leaf pops in on the finish. A restrained wine, but one with a lot of charm. — 9 years ago
Vivid ruby. Intensely perfumed aromas of strawberry, raspberry, rose oil, star anise and white pepper. Supple red fruit preserve and candied floral flavors of very good clarity are complicated by suggestions of cola and licorice. Gentle tannins, providing grip, build on the finish and fade slowly into the wine's plush, sweet fruit. This alluring grenache is already showing plenty of complexity but it's still a baby. — 9 years ago
This wine is an assemblage of fruit from vineyards throughout the Willamette Valley. TellTale owes its pale pink hue to a brief saigneé of Pinot Noir. Flavors of fresh, wild red berries and cherry blossoms are joined by refreshing acidity, providing a perfect compliment to warm summer. — 9 years ago

The 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape offers a full-bodied, decadent style to go with awesome black and blue fruits, garrigue, licorice, crushed flowers and violets. The purity here is truly something, and it has fabulous mid-palate concentration, building tannin and massive texture. Given all of the fruit and texture here, it will no doubt drink well in its youth, but it should still be alive and kicking after two decades as well. — 9 years ago
On the nose, floral notes of crushed violet lead the way to dark fruit aromas of black cherries, ripe plum and summertime blackberries. Complex aromas that continue to evolve in the glass. On the palate, the wine is well structured and balanced, offering flavors of blackberry and plum, with a hint of dark chocolate and fine leather. The mouthfeel is full and rich, with velvety soft tannins that continue through the wine’s long-lasting finish. — 9 years ago
Aromatically penetrating, really fills the senses. Wild floral scents, soy, leather, graphite and bacon fat. Then waves of fruit – blackberry, cassis, some hi-tone cola elements. Very mineral and energetic wine. Pure, focused, long and penetrating palate, no excess sweetness or heaviness. Cassis liqueur, sage and rosemary complexity, black pepper. Strong mid-palate with lingering depth and generous yet polished tannic structure. — 9 years ago

It showcases bright flavors and aromas of apricot, peach, mango & lemon. The lighter body also brings out the crispness of the hops. The Sculpin fish has poisonous spikes on its fins that can give a strong sting. Ironically, the meat from a Sculpin fish is considered some of the tastiest. Something that has a sting but tastes great; sounds like a Ballast Point India Pale Ale. This version of Sculpin IPA has grapefruit added; the grapefruit flavor really enhances the citrus aroma of the hops. — 9 years ago
