Warre's Vintage Porto 2007

Have been enjoying this over the last few months and finally reached the bottom tonight on a lovely evening out back. It was delicious. Lots of other reviews here with descriptions which I echo. Grab some if you can. — 2 months ago

Dow's

10 Year Old Tawny Porto

1912 Andrew James Symington became partner in Dow's and today, five members of the 4th generation Symington family own and manage this historic house. 10 Years" indicates an average age – this Aged Tawny Port is a blend of older wines, matured in oak casts. Medium tawny color with aromas of sweet dried fruits, citrus and nutty notes. On the palate sweet ripe fruit, sweet cinnamon ending with fig, marzipan and cacao notes. Smooth, medium+ length. Nice value. Drink now, no bottle age benefit. Tasting Sample. — 2 months ago

Quinta do Vesuvio Porto 1998

Shay A
9.2

Wednesday Wine Committee hosted by Dan. 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert wine. Tasted blind as usual.

Not as sweet as Graham’s. New producer to me. I guessed early-mid ‘90s port. More overripe fruit (blueberry, blackberry jam, cherry liqueur), and less graham cracker/cocoa notes than others. Seemed both young and old. Still ascending.
