Dark berry fruit and a little spice on the nose. Seems about perfect as it could be to open this. Paired with a seafood paella. Delicious! — 4 months ago
Excellent with salmon. I like it better than most Malbecs. — 4 years ago

Really liked this. WineText, $28, 8/19/2020 — 6 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90min. The 2016 Reserva pours a deep purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with fabulous notes of ripe and dried, black and red cherries, Fig Newtons, dill, toasted coconut, leather, anise, old wood, dry earth and spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, Hermanos de Peciña Reserva is one of the great wine values in the world. Drink now through 2046. — 9 days ago
Sweet strawberries, mild tanins, deep red color, black pepper, cranberries, coriander. Good, nice, blend. — a year ago
Armónico, elegante, rico en detalles — 4 years ago
This Rioja blend needs to be open a long time before consuming. Once it settles down, it is a great wine. So complex and rich. Definite fruity Grenache notes mix with deep Tempranillo. A great wine. — 4 years ago

Val is our go to wine! We are never disappointed. We’ve been drinking the 2015 and are moving to the 2016. Love them both. It’s great to have wine that you can enjoy consistently. — 6 years ago

The Syrah definitely shows up. Adds some weight and a little olive tapenade. seemed to have a little new oak. — 6 years ago
Very tasty. Sweet roses, vanilla, baked bread, and very ripe red fruit. I’d drink this daily...as long as it pairs well to food. I’m curious how this will develop with age. — 6 years ago
