2015 vintage. A project started in 2011 by Olivier Bernard (of Domaine de Chevalier fame) in Sauternes from vineyards in 3 different terroirs (Sauternes, Barsac and Bommes). Contrary to classic white Bordeaux, Sémillon is king here, reflecting in this 70% Sémillon and 30% Sauvignon blanc blend, aged in French oak. Lune d'Argent is the middle range of the estate and the heart of the production. It stands for amazing value. Drinking beautifully now, but I suspect this will age gracefully for at least another 5 years. Light brilliant yellow. Very attractive nose combining exotic fruit with minerality, flowers and brioche. Juicy fresh pineapple and grapefruit, balanced mouth-watering acidity and perfectly integrated oak. This shows the potential of great dry white wines in the Sauternes region, where the famous sweet wines are sadly suffering from low demand in lethal combination with high production costs. Grab this one by the case at only 17,90 euros. Abv. 13%. — 4 years ago
Beautiful magical langhe nebbiolo. Super expressive herbaceous nose right away nice cherry notes on palate then 45 mins into it some lethal tannins coming out full force 💪🏼 😍... 🤐 — 7 years ago
Black cherries and plum. Dark but not heavy. Solid red, would be an excellent table wine, and great chilled. Grew a lot on me over time. — 2 years ago
Excellent spätburgunder, nothing else to say. — 3 years ago
Youthful, but in a few years it will be lethal. Haven’t heard of this house prior to the tastings. Really good amarone though. — 4 years ago
Date night in Paris at the Harvard Club in New York. The grandiose main dining room was transformed into Paris for a night where the would-be Edith Piaf singer covered all the hits. The menu was earnest in its reproduction of French classics, and as lethal as steak tartare followed by steak frites might be, "non je ne regrette rien". A Bordeaux was a must. With some age and from a brilliant year, this straightforwardly delicious wine was a nod to some of the classics from the vintage. Une belle soirée. — 7 years ago
2014 vintage. As Sauternes suffers from a lethal combination of high production costs and low demand, it is about time we all start drinking more of it. The 2014 vintage combines a lot of botrytis with high acidity resulting in beautifully balanced wines that are very attractive young but should age beautifully for decades. Rabaud Promis has a long history (a lot of it in common with Sigalas Rabaud), but has been in the hands of the Dejean family for the last 4 generations. In early 2020 Jean Merlaut (Bordeaux négociant and owner of Gruaud Larose) took a majority share in Rabaud Promis, but Thomas Dejean remains the winemaker. And to judge from this terrific effort there is indeed no reason to change the winemaker. 80% Sémillon, 16% Sauvignon blanc and 4% Muscadelle. Brilliant golden yellow. Intoxicating complex perfume of fresh and dried fruits, flowers and subtle roasted flavours combined with an amazing lemony freshness. The mouth confirms this complexity with layers of concentrated fruit, balanced by crispy acidity and a knock-out brown sugar, lemon confit and noble rot "rôti" finish. It has amazing intensity while remaining light on its feet. Fabulous value at 28 euros! Abv. 12,6%. Note: these wines are much more versatile at the table than you think. While foie gras and blue cheese are classic combinations, I tried it today with veal, sautéed carrots and mushrooms and baked potatoes. Works really well. I invite you all to experiment with the culinary possibilities of these wines. — 3 years ago
Good with light taste food or drink as it’s in the sunny summer day! — 6 years ago

Pure minerals. How does this smell perfumed of minerals? Like floral minerals, and a fresh sweet spring smell, like sugar snap pea. Palate is a mini acid bomb (explosive but not lethal) with tropical pineapple and limey citrus that’s achingly beautiful. Just a mind boggling bottle and stunning value. — 2 years ago
