My first time with this vntg. More spatlese on the nose than GG: lovely guava and mango, a touch of saffron, lychee, so tropical and dense. On the palate: good acidity and density: sour apple, lemon, here we get the GG extract and density. This intensifies in the mouth and has considerable density on the finish. Yum. Less well-delineated than '15 forward, and, unsurprisingly, showing more signs of age. — a month ago
Smells sweet and rich. Full bodied hitting the mouth, followed by acidity. Strong florals and some rockiness or minerality. Finishes a bit tart. Quite nice, good with a rich white sauce to balance the tartness. Preferred with food rather than alone. — 6 days ago
Love this! Granny Smith Apple and peach! Light sweetness — a month ago
Refreshing, super clean finish, great for drinking on its own. Had with pork-mushroom dumplings with baby Napa cabbage and then (the next night) rice egg spinach goat cheese quesadillas, tasted fine. — a month ago
Sweet green apple/pear, lime, jasmine, almost lychee aroma. Some caramelized notes. Brought back from Germany. Opened a tad early, could easily age well. — a month ago
