A magnificent Pinot from the Santa Rita Hills. Matthias casts his magic and the results are phenomenal. I would swear this was a Syrah, but not a drop. A perfect melody of bright berry notes together with deep, dark fruit that’s almost savory. A bargain at any price. @Delectable Wine this is the Backseat Freestyle. — 4 years ago
Still brooding, expressing dark chocolate, charred plum, coffee. Nostalgic. On the downside. Drink now — 9 months ago

A Grenache blend like no other from the Alisos Canyon in Santa Barbara. A truly unique age-worthy blend of Grenache, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Roussanne grapes. Deliciously complex, bounty of red berries all over, graceful acidity and surprisingly mid-to-low tannins. Mouthfeel is exceptional and jumps a bit on the fruit side as it clears from the back end of the palate. — a month ago
