The texture hits first with this soft, silky, voluminous but not weighty Garnacha. The nose is peppery and slightly reserved but the plate explodes with tart red cherry juice and red licorice- SO transparent. And the tannins are so fine they actually add pleasure. Totally unique, world-class wine.
I heard a rumor that a growing number of clients were agitating for Spain in the portfolio @Lyle Fass — 4 years ago

Had my first bottle a couple months ago,
Great nose to it, but give it more time. This is no mega purple loaded Austin Hope. Real wine needs real time.
TEMPRANILLO
60% new French Oak
Coming from the original 2007 planting on our vineyard, rumor has it this big, rich, tannic clone of Tempranillo was backpacked in from Spain...but you didn't hear it from us. With a chalky mineral mouthfeel, it's complex aromatics will keep you guessing on what the — 6 years ago
Rumor is, the owner of this estate is one of the winemakers at Pétrus and this is a family side-project. What I know for sure is that it’s a really solid and balanced wine. — 8 years ago
J-j-j-uicy fruit goodness of black fruit compote with just a rumor of wood grain. — 9 years ago
Hefty! Great dark fruit and oak flavors...almost like cinnamon and nutmeg. Pairing this wine with blue cheese fritters is as an amazing a pairing as Dire Straights and Eric Clapton at Wembley '88: seamless perfection at every moment.
(Rumor has it that this wine is an exact replica of the wine Jesus created from his blood) — 10 years ago

Just stop and look at this thing. Look how gorgeous it is. It’s so pretty I almost don’t want to drink it. Almost. Beautiful effervescence and an instant burst of fresh fruit aromas. Strawberries and cream with raspberry jam. Lychee and dried herbs, mild spice and a fair bit of kumquat for good measure.
One of the Masters of Meunier and it shows. It always shows. Brilliant acidity though understated compared to his wines with lower dosages. 100% Pinot Meunier from Festigny and full of unique personality and character. 50/50 from the 2017 and 2018 vintages, this is youthful and fresh with lively minerality. Very lean and mean while still remaining generous.
On the palate, this distinguishes itself from other rosé bubbles. The antithesis of a lifeless, limp, and limpid wine. Thrilling in the mouth, the red fruits announce their presence. Red cherries and orange slices. A rumor of smoke and the whisper of tobacco. A long, magnanimous finish that truly leaves you wanting. I’ll drink another bottle just because. — 4 years ago

I think you’ve had its cousin, the Fillet Mignon 🤷🏼♂️Pours a nice purple with even, narrow legs that reflect the 14.5% abv. Nose has berry and licorice. Taste notes have berry, nice acid, oak and some sweet chocolate. I paid too much at $16, rumor has it this can be found at Costco at $10. Will purchase again. — 5 years ago
Rumor has it this bottling contains grapes purchased from Macon and Chablis owing to the meager production of the 2016 vintage. Hence, this wine is not Domaine Roulot but rather a true negociant wine bearing the name Jean Marc Roulot. I think I can taste the influence of chablis, and the hand of Roulot. Fascinating. — 7 years ago
九頭龍 Nine headed dragon from黑龍酒造 福井 with rich intense flavor daiginjo 50% milled. Rumor the fresh water from the village stream adds to the minerality. Melon with a long lingering honeysuckle on your tongue — 8 years ago
Pretty florals, fresh, and dominated by sweet red cherries/raspberries with an undertone of sandalwood. It possesses an elegant and regal quality to it and this could be attributed to the plot Aux Lavieres, which is one lieu-dit away from neighbouring Vosne Romanee. Yet, the structure and perhaps the acidity points to NSG. There is also the rumor that the Felettig's are receiving tips from Louis Michel of Liger Belair. Really underrated producer and would love to try his other labels. One tip to those who are thinking of opening a bottle - finish it in a hour. — 9 years ago

Actually Parker reviewed in 2015 gave it 95 points. So you’re 97 shows it’s aging well.honeysuckle, green pair, rumor of white raisin, whisper of effervescence, unction junction — 5 years ago
Baked apple, nashi pear, smoky lime and lemon oils, pineapple, sponge cake, dragonfruit-kiwi, lemon curd, and grilled Hawaiian pork operating in the nozzle. Delicate, lime awash in ocean water, vanilla oil, white cherry, white raspberry, No 1 pencil, mineral-y anise rumor, white pepper and lotus. Such a smooth transition from an obvious nose to sublimity. #calvados #appelationcalvadoscontrôlée #marquisdesaintloup #marquisdesaintloupselection #coudrayrabut #applebrandy #brandy — 6 years ago
Blockbuster! Pinotphiles like should buy this up fast as they can. Rumor has it that this is the last Bacigalupi produced as Venge is moving fans to its sister winery, Croix Estate. I’m taking two...cases! — 8 years ago
Love deep seeded rumors about wines. Rumor here is that is made from third run Screaming Eagle grapes that are shipped down to Santa Barbara. True or not, this was great. Certainly tastes more Napa than Santa Barbara in profile. Dark inky black blue and black fruit with some herbal notes. — 8 years ago
A Riesling, Pinot Noir, Gewurtztraminer blend that's about concentration and complexity. Showing a nutty, quince, orange marmelade side where sweet spices surface. Perhaps slightly oxidized, it has a full-bodied, creamy brightness that for me, begs another sip. (Rumor has it the heat retaining gravel soils result in this type of wine.) Bravo. — 9 years ago

I heard a rumor that there’s a competition between DRC and Jean-Michel Guillon when it comes to the amount of new French oak used. While I can’t substantiate that, I can confirm that the oak used for this bottle smells expensive and it certainly seems to work in Guillon’s favor because this is a really tasty treat. The 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin “VV” pours a deep ruby with a transparent core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart red fruits: Bing cherry, strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate, porcini, dry forest floor, and beautiful balance of cool and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and absolutely delicious. I tend to be fearful of liberal use of oak but in the end, I try not to judge if the wine is in balance and in this case, it most certainly is. Drink now through 2036+. — a year ago
