lovely effervescent gamay lightened by the 5% Chardonnay. feel like it cuts the sweet finish often found w this kind of wine. chillable but think I preferred room temp. soft but textured w enough character to keep it from being boring — 2 years ago
$39 @ Domestique. Slight funk. — 4 years ago
Bright garnet color. Aromas of cherry, raspberry, wet stones, violets and a pleasant funk. Intense red berry fruit on the palate with additional notes of granite and dried earth. Very long and smooth finish. Bright acidity and very low tannin levels. Quite chillable! — 10 months ago

bright, boisterous and fun. — a month ago
First impressions (8.5).. way too barny/stinky/natural.. but that aside, quite nice fizzy cherry drops, deep slate, earthy but fruit forward. Maybe better with food. Day 2: beautiful.. less fizz, more medicinal in a weirdly good way (edited to 8.9) — a year ago

@Delectable Wine this is the Trompe l'Oeil cuvée.
gamay and aligote direct pressed into qveris that are subsequently buried in the vineyards where the grapes are grown for upwards of 18 months. pure insanity. one to write home about. valot is quickly becoming one of my favorite producers on the planet. — 22 days ago
