Dirt nerd / after earth work drink. Juicy black currant, blood orange, dry dirt, forest floor. Good for poultry, hearty bean, mushrooms. Try w forest food like muscadines or black trumpets. — 5 months ago
Hint of peppermint on the nose rolls back to reveal wormwood and roses, chocolate ganache, rhubarb, and dried grapefruit peel. Velvety and complex, with peppercorn, red apple peel, cinnamon dust, dried rose petal, dried violet, and roobios tea.

Nose: Dark fruit aromas lead the way with notes of black cherry, ripe plum, licorice, and subtle spice.
Palate: Big and bold with vibrant acidity and firm tannic structure. Layers of cherry and dark fruit carry through a long, persistent finish. Very well rounded with impressive depth and balance.
Overall: Structured yet approachable. Shows strong aging potential and should evolve nicely over the coming years. — 2 months ago
Tre bicchieri l 🇮🇹 trade tasting: 15 months in barrel, 3-4 years additions aging. Rose and supple suede — 4 months ago
Popped and poured a small glass for myself to check on how it was showing. I thought it was super grumpy and backward, so I splash decanted; made a world of difference. The 2021 Riserva pours a ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe, red fruits: raspberries, rose water, pastilles and earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Charming stuff after air. Drink now through 2036…if you can keep your hands off it. — 5 months ago

Rustic. Liked but weird note. — 3 years ago
Vanilla, licorice, tar wrapped in a rich core of fruit. — 5 years ago
Excellent wine.
Would have never guessed it was 25 years old.
After some time in decanter and in the glass - it began to show some tertiary and real balsamic notes
But this wine really paired well with risotto. It cut the richness without overpowering and provided some solid fruit and tannin
There is both some power and elegance in this wine that works quite well — 3 months ago

Fresh red berry notes, fruit-forward quality. Rustic earthy with hints of herb. Bright, lively acidity. Refreshing and easy to sip. It was great with light pasta! — 5 months ago
— 6 months ago

Ruby with a hint of garnet. Aromas of strawberry, cherry, fig/raisin. Not overly sweet, but just right. Stewed cherries, leather, raisins with a nice finish. Great with our cheese board. — 8 months ago
Perfumed and full of cherries. Fresh and well built with a stingy attack and more rounded mature finish. — 5 years ago
Nose is a bit ripe and tomatoey. Weird. Mint? Some dead leaves. New wood. Bleh. — 6 years ago

Nose is a 10. Mouthfeel and finish don’t match. Tannins a little rough. — 3 days ago
