Roberto Henriquez

Santa Cruz de Coya País 2019

The nose is a bit of a tease, with hints of herbs and ginger eclipsing subtle wafts of orchard fruit and riverbed minerality. The autumn gold hue is a bit misleading (but remember, these wines spend considerable time on their skins); rather than rich viscosity, the palate is impressively fresh and citrusy, while still maintaining a level of grippiness and structure. Believe it or not, I had this with sushi and it did not disappoint!

Priavino Dolcetto d'Alba 2016

16.5. What you expect from a good Dolcetto. A great go-to wine for a weekday dinner. (Sour) cherry nose, lots of fruit, good length. — 2 months ago
