Too young but very good and should get better. Nose has loads of cigar box and ground sandstone, dark oozy berries. Palate is rich and complex, with a little alcoholic pepperiness in the back half. Lots of tannin. Acids are a bit low and the alcohol is a bit high at 15%, so the tightrope is to find the number of years of aging to let the tannins settle but before the alcohol starts to burn through. 9.1+ (the + is if you find that sweet spot). — a month ago
Liked the other better but this was still really good! Opened nicely but was smoky in the beginning which didn’t last. — 25 days ago
WOW 🤯. A much needed blockbuster. On the nose I was already getting goosebumps. Hyper expressive but with dark fruit. A lil spice. So extremely intoxicating. Palate was in perfect balance. Perfect age. Singing out of the bottle. Finish was long and ethereal. Wow. — a month ago
Fresh and ripe. Typical NSG rustic animalism. — 3 months ago

2018 Raen Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir - produced by the grandsons of Robert Mondavi. Winemaker notes describe this wine as having aromas of red cherry, rose petals, violets, coastal forest floor, wet rock, and lifted red and black berries fill the bowl. I definitely get the red cherries and bright acidity with this one. — 2 days ago
