Foothills Reserve Syrah 2018

This wine is improving with age. An exceptional example of Washington State Syrah, this wine has a beautiful balance of alcohol, acid, fruit and silky tannins. Deep ruby color, the aroma and palate have great intensity without being heavy. Loads of blackberry, violet, black plum, licorice, cedar, clove, tobacco, tar, slate, dried leaves, leather and great minerality. Full bodied with a very long finish. It is a haunting wine with great finesse. — 24 days ago

Hey Tim, sorry that got left off. This was 2018. I bought a few bottles to open over tones. This one was noticeable bump up from the already very good one I opened two years shop. One left….

Smoky and earthy and definite, savory flavors. Smoked meat, pecan smoke, she roasted forest floor, dark and untenable, crushed violets that even after a week being open are still intense in nose and flavor. — 2 months ago

In the Rocks Vineyard Grenache Blanc 2019

Really excited to have tried this after loving their reds.

For a Grenache Blanc, this has great weight and texture. There are zero “Rocks funk” notes to this wine, unlike their red wines. Light straw colored in the glass Aromatically, it’s quite subdued and closed. On the palate though, this shows great honeysuckle, slightly green herbs, and honeyed citrus. What does make this white stand out is a rocky mineral note that brings about a sense of place. It’s not iron like, but it is distinct and something I’ve found in other whites from the area. No need to hold, these are ready to go (like most Grenache Blanc).

@Bryan Kesting : Same here. I still need to try their Queen’s Road white blend. Big fan of their reds (and I think you enjoy them too, if I’m not mistaken?)

The Unnamed Series

Christmas Cuvée Syrah 2015

Nose opens with smoked meat, olive, leather, and dark fruit. Palate is mid-weight and shows ripe blackberry, cherry, thyme, black pepper, and briney minerality. Good finish and nice acid. Stellar QPR for a baby Reynvaan — 4 years ago

The Classic Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

First opening tight, overly structured, and a little bit of a muddled mess. Give it two days and drank the rest and all of a sudden it was a delightful chewy, slightly pastry, red fruit, earthy, a bit of a savory tasty glass. It’s crazy it needed at least three days of air to really develop itself, but it was very Tight for the first half of the bottle and maybe it just needs time. — 4 months ago

Spectacular if inelegant New World style Syrah. Great fruit flavors, bright grape and just so fresh. Complex flavors in the finish that are earthy. — 3 years ago

Rock star of a wine! Floral, peppery, bacon on the nose, BlackBerry, smoked meat, olive on the palate. Complex wine with a long mineral finish. Love the 13.5 Alc. Could easily mistake for Hermitage or Core Rotie — 5 years ago
