Three hours in the decant and still a little closed, but with more time the wine unfurled to become more and more primary. Tannin profile note quote as resolute as one may expect from Castiglione, but these Vietti wines do tend to more approachable than most. Watery acid and long finish. Spot on. Worth another look in ten. — 9 years ago
Our best seller. At $22 for an Aaron Pott cabernet, it's not surprising. Never heard of Resolute? That's because it's the very first year for this ambitious project - high quality Cabs from the outskirts of Napa/Sonoma made by Aaron Pott at an extremely affordable price point. One of the most difficult feats for any wine lover is to find a good $20-ish daily drinker, and this wine is surely one of the best in the country — 9 years ago

'Eloquent' is a bold, masculine red wine. Smoke, pepper, black cherry, and blueberry harmonize with resolute tannins and a slate driven earth quality. — 10 years ago
2008: a very bright young feeling champagne at 17yrs of age. A resolute acidity carries the brioche and white fruits along! I am unapologetic about my fervor for Dom. — a year ago
Soft buttered popcorn. Light butter, creamy texture with an acidic component like a creamy sorbet. Absolutely beautiful Chard. Dry finish — 8 years ago
It’s not often that I open a note with a resolute, Wow, but the 2013 Gourt de Mautens deserves such praise. The bouquet opened with an intense display of white pepper, crush mint (or is that basil), rosemary, moist earth and hints of sweet brown spice. On the palate, it was impossibly soft and enveloping to all of the senses, yet vibrant with a display crushed violets, black fruit, and savory olive. Tannins mounted toward the finish as the wine resonated on peppery spices and a resounding note of black olive. I can't wait to see where this wine is going over time. — 9 years ago
All Barossa and McLaren Vale fruit this year, 2% Cabernet and 17months brand new American oak. Whiffs of fine mahogany, spiced plums, blackberry, some dried fruit, mettwurst, slight florals and a lick of vanilla. Just coming into the realm of full bodied, not coming across over bearing at all. Not defined by resolute tannin it's amazingly approachable now, showing amazing balance and composure, but the tannin is there, dragging long and fine with harmonious acid. A beauty of a wine. — 10 years ago
Still standing firm and resolute. Great wine, great vintage. Throwing a lot of sediment. Potpourri of dried red fruits and herbs. — 3 years ago
58 Grenache/32 Carginan/10 Syrah...quite beautiful with our mint chimichurri lamb loin roast w/glazed carrots. An inversion for us - more tannin than textural acid...so fun and resolute :) — 6 years ago
I had 2 or 3 bottles of this in last few years & was consistently underwhelmed, was a disjointed, ugly duckling. Well, the ugly phase is over. Gorgeous deep black currant color w red rim. Resolute & length, medium weight. Game, currants, & cooked herbs (sage?). Uber enjoyable w beef stew & potato pie. Threw off alot of sediment- should have decanted, but luckily was a good pour — 9 years ago
Dare say this was way better than the last bottle I had about 2 or 3 years ago. This was kind of a forgotten gem in the cellar that I found last Friday. A little vegetal from cork pop had me worried but this wine blew off in 20 minutes and showed great terroir and classic aged foresty black notes emerged. Lots of body was here and very ample fruit. Finish showed completely resolute tannin. Very silky finish. Great with olive and mushroom marinara. Probably slightly in decline at this point. It quite a delight tonight at 10 years old. — 9 years ago
Marmalade on a tartar based biscuit, spruce trimmings, dried apples, hazelnuts and sprouted spaghetti squash. There is a dried mint note to dazzle. Three types of citrus vie for entry, pomelo, grapefruit and tangerine, but each recedes and ducks away to sour peach and old beeswax, kafir leaf, pencil, rosemary and dry oregano. Dry finish of resolute grace. — 10 years ago
Lush and full bodied, tannic and very ripe fruit. — 10 years ago
loved this wine from the get go with its notes of wild raspberries, blackcurrant, plum, dried tobacco, mint and touches of smoke and leafiness. Medium to full bodied in palate, acid there but keeps things fresh and tannin by no means resolute. Drinks well now, but no harm in holding on for a few more winters. Super solid offering and great value for the bucks 👏🏼 — 10 years ago
