2022/6/8-10 with scallop crudo, homemade fresh tagliolini al Portonat, frico, etc. A nice mix of more “typical”, bright Sauvignon Blanc citrus and herbs with richer, stone fruit notes. I’m not sure why the app calls this Zinfandel a Syrah, but whatever. The nose is ripe red fruit, raspberry, dark cherry, and strawberry jam. More red fruit on the palate with a nice blend of oak, black tea, and cola. High acid, tannins, and alcohol, but, hey, it blends. Young and tart after six years, but not overpowering, this wine could make me a zin fan, maybe, someday. — 7 years ago

I liked this wine. Perfect with Comté. This wine is nutty and woody. It tastes like dry sherry or even more like an oxidized Jura wine or Vin Jaune. This wine will not be liked by many but for those looking for an oxidized style wine this is a nice choice. — 2 months ago
