Pretty Things Beer & Ale Project

Cantillon Brewery

Bruocsella 1900 Grand Cru Organic Lambic Ale 2019

I’m pretty sure this is my first still beer. Really funky with a lot of wood notes, cedar, pine forest, lemon rind with the pith, some dried apricot, and an herbal quality. This is fascinating but with the explosion of orange wine not as interesting as probably 10 years ago. This is still a fantastic sour beer but hard to get past no carbonation. The idea of packaging this beer as all beer would have been from casks for the last 3,000+ years is pretty cool. Anyway I’d rather buy wine for this profile. — 4 years ago

Pretty shocked to see a decent beer onthe list of an airport restaurant. Must be a good omen for the next 2 weeks in Australia! — 8 years ago

Fort Point Beer Co.

Westfalia Nuremberg Inspired Red Ale

Nose of chicory, cocoa powder, and an interesting minty/menthol note.

Pretty substantial roast notes with creamed coffee, bitter walnut, and touch of underlying caramel. Dries out just enough with a touch of bitterness to keep it drinkable.

Rich, malty red with nice roast influence.

Porkslap Pale Ale

Porkslap: ridiculous branding, absurd label but for its type, a pretty serious beer. — 7 years ago

Pernicious Weed India Pale Ale

One of my favorite NC beers. It's a very balanced beer, and an overall outstanding IPA — 8 years ago

A Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale

I’m not a huge beer person, so I’m pretty picky with beers, and this one is quite luscious! It’s fruity and in my opinion easily enjoyable.. Would definitely recommend it to other ladies who aren’t huge on beer but like to join in sometimes :) — 6 years ago

De Struise Brouwers

Reserva Pannepot Belgian Ale 2012

Pretty pretty pretty good. Hint of bitterness on the finish should dissipate with more time. Bad enough I have to wait on my wine, now with my beer too? 👎 — 8 years ago

Hops on Pointe Champagne Pilsner

This is the Wicked Weed brewery from Ashville, Nc. The beer is the Bedeviled, a Belgian Golden Ale. With a little haze and big body, this reminds me of a Belgian triple. Maybe like St. Martin's. 9% alc. Banana bread toast, ginger and lees. This brewery, which specializes in sours, is top notch. They remind me of Russian River. — 8 years ago
