Dark ruby color. Nose is floral, rose, red fruit and some strong cedar. High acid, astringent and tannic upon opening. Better after 2 hours of air. Pepper, tart dark fruit. This will improve with age. — 2 months ago

Opened this one 24hrs ago, yet it still comes across as primary and youthful. Big wine, full bodied, baked fruit cobbler, vanilla, baking spices, ink, licorice, black pepper. Beautiful and balanced, also due to a judicious dosage of fine acidity. Long, uplifting finish with wonderful tannines - dusty and ripe.

Wow. This brought back good memories of us visiting Hendry vineyard some 15 years ago. The wines were wonderful back then and still are. Deep garnet with dark cherry aromas. Tannins that have nicely smoothed out over the last 5 years for a wonderful finish. — a month ago

In the heart of the Chianti lies Estate of Sette Ponti, 15 miles northwest of the city of Arezzo, past village of San Giustino Valdarno. Has 10% Merlot, aged in French Allier barriques, deep Ruby with red fruit aromas and floral notes. On the palate blackberry, plum and cherry flavors with blossom notes, spice and fine integrated tannins. Good balance, long finish ending with some oak and mineral tones. Nice! Will age a bit!
