Demented 4-hours, very nice wine, wonderful nose, structured black fruit on the palate.

Thanks, P! Immediately caught a rustic leathery quality on the nose that brought me back to last summer in Tuscana. Merlot’s silky sweetness leads the charge, but Cab’s firm structure is right behind creating balance all the way through. A little age on the rim and nose, but still fresh and vibrant.

A bit closed. More tannic than expected

Guys steak night bottle #4 I usually compare Oreno to tignanello and think the tig is more angular and the Oreno has more finesse. I need to pair Oreno with steak more often. This was the wine of the night. I have had this bottle before but usually with Italian food not ribeye and flank steak. Lesson learned! This Oreno was bold with red fruit, spice and some mineral undertones. Really well structured. The cab and merlot were dialed up in this vintage and it shows.

Pizza and wine Saturday. Loaded with tannins. This wine could stand a few more years in the bottle. Good red fruit with spices and nice mineral undertone.
