Clear, medium ruby to garnet in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced intensity primary and secondary aromas of black cherries, cassis, and graphite; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, high tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and intense primary and secondary flavors of blackberries, black cardamom, and wet gravel with a medium finish. This wine is simple, but balanced. Overall, I rate this wine as good. — 2 months ago
Faint - Dijon mustard. I rated this vintage many many times. Very pale. Drink up really. At its peak - this is awesome but will not get better. Quite oxidized. Profound orange 🍊 notes / Inter-dispersed with fading dark cherry. Incredible well balanced at this point. „Tip of the spear….“. Super complex back palate - what the hell is this? Tumeric, ….boy am I glad i have an Argon line at home to be able to taste this for days. Last bottle. — 3 months ago

Initially strong sulphidic aromas of the struck match variety. A mineral chalky streak on the palate with grilled nuts, citrus and a little white peach. Medium plus palate length and another great effort, particularly for a Village wine, from the “enfant terrible” of Burgundy, Henri Boillot. As an aside, from a retired printer, I love the graphics and typefaces used in this label. — 4 months ago
#AgedWineTuesday.
Dark ruby in color with a reddish/ brick rim.
Pretty nose of red and black fruits with cedar, licorice and chocolate notes.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with sweet raspberries, cherries, plums, light cedar, earth, herbs, chocolates, black pepper and tobacco leaf.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious 14 year old GSM blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Rich, but not extracted. Elegant with lots of chocolate notes. Well balanced with nice complexity.
Impressively fresh and youthful for its age, with good structure and balance. The high alcohol is well integrated by now.
I've had a few vintages of this wine and it is very consistent.
Drinking at its peak, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
A gorgeous wine to drink by itself or with food.
A blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% Mourvedre. Grapes from very old vines are aged in new French oak barrels for 14 months.
15% alcohol by volume.
93 points.
