The 3rd wine at the First Growth Bordeaux lunch at the Downs Club last Saturday. My contribution to the lunch. 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. Opulent and Powerful. The experts say this is a 50 year wine and tasting it now at 39 years currently it will definitely not have an issue reaching 50 years. Mint, spice and black fruits. The masses of dry tannins 20 years ago are starting to resolve. Jancis wondered in 2004 if they would ever soften. I have one left which I hope to drink on its 50th birthday in 2036 if I am still around. This was the oldest wine in the lineup and also the most robust. — a month ago

Honeyed medium yellow to the sight, true to its age. White floral and lemony vibrant notes dance on my nose. A touch reductive on the initial sip, the palate opens up with time to showcase classic mineralite and a vibrant fruit core with notes of citrus and to a lesser extent, stone fruits. Lovely weight with great mouth caressing viscosity and silkiness. Definitely in a good drinking window with no sign of fading and evolving in the glass over a lovely 2 hour Cantonese cuisine dinner. Absolutely spot on! — 4 days ago
Full-bodied Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc with low minerality (Wine Emporium) — 2 months ago
About every quarter or so i get to try a wine which just strikes me like thunder - this is such a wine. This one has a story (I met Pacalet in Encinitas - a total introvert but genius and bought 6 bottles). Earth, autumn leaves, iron, hint cherry, tannins fully resolved. Tamarind? Touch tumeric. A wine at its peak. 🍑 Peach!!! Heaven on earth what a wine! — 4 months ago
Way fuller than gevrey, much more dark fruit — 2 months ago
Drinking the 2022 in 2025. Thin legs. Very light color. Nose has hints of citrus and matchsticks. Light and smooth with very few tannins and little aftertaste. Notes of citrus and oaks. — 2 months ago

My go to White Burgundy Bourgogne producer in good vintages. You get good value in what is today an expensive burgundy market. 22 an outstanding vintage. I buy this without thinking in good vintages and have never been disappointed.
High viscosity, paraffin, tropical, stone fruits, lemon, lime, great chalkiness, limestone, white spice, sea spray, spring flowers, yellow lilies, excellent round acidity and elegant, polish & balance finish for days.
Excellent pair w/ the Jasper Hill Farms Harbison cheese. — 4 days ago
