@David White David, at least Adrian Sparks is the Chief Winemaker and has been at Mount Pleasant for a while. I met Adrian at a lunch at Mount Pleasant some years ago when he was assistant to the then highly credentialed Jim Chatto who has moved on to his own venture in Tasmania. The terroir at Mount Pleasant is so established and excellent I’m sure it will always be very good and as I say, Adrian is chief winemaker.

@Bob McDonald Thank you for detail on Adrian Sparks. I’m sure you are right that it will be ok, I need to research their latest releases and find a good independent retailer, my local guy who specialised in individual vineyards was bought out by BWS 😩

Philip Togni Vineyard

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 1997

Back in 2008 I attended a memorable tasting; a bottle of 1997 Togni was a true eye-opener for me then and I have been a fan ever since. Again, yesterday, it was great as always. 🔥 — 2 days ago
