Philip Togni Vineyard
Tanbark Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Nice evolution and well integrated. 92 that pushes 93.
The other wine from the great Napa producer, Philip Togni.
The mouthfeel is supple, round, soft, yet meaty and tarry tannins. Ripe, juicy, rich; blackberries, baked plum for days, dark cherries, black raspberries, hues of raspberries & boysenberries. Black licorice, berry cola, muddy, volcanic clay, herbaceous notes, soft baking spices, slightly, melted chocolate, dark spice with a touch of heat, coffee, dry crushed, rocks, dry stem, dry tobacco, new leather, oak to cedar shavings, volcanic ash, dark, slightly withering, red, blue flowers framed in a field of endless violets, rainfall acidity, great balance, nice tension/structure and a smartly polished finish that last a full minute.
If you own, I would drink over the next 3-4 years before it starts to slide.

Refreshing to taste as this has remained true to a more traditional style.
Deep garnet in color. Bing cherry, currants, pencil shavings, licorice and some bell pepper, a youthful and enveloping nose. The palate is bright with medium acidity, medium+ body and fine to medium grain tannin. A long and complicated (good thing) finish. Insane value for Napa Cabernet single vineyard wine. Don't worry about hunting this vintage, get whatever you find. #producerovervintage #togni #springmountain

Yoghurt, brambles, hot tiles, lavender, balsamic sweet and sour, youthful, seems to be searching for some balance.

May 17th, 2024Togni. Second label. Single Vineyard. Wow.
Big blueberry nose on opening. Aeration adds complexity. Ink, chalk, earth, incense, sandalwood. Still needs some time, but approaching its drinking window.
Grrrreat stuff. Buy!

Togni's second label. Slightly funky aromas of blackberry, roast coffee, leather and smoke. The finish shows slightly edgy tannins, firm acids and a lightly herbal component. This baby needs a few more years.
