Nose has ripe peach, under-ripe peach, dehydrated nectarines, fresh green apple peel, faint petrol note, turbinado sugar and crushed marble.

Palate has sweet peach, ripe tangerine, dried pineapple, sweet oak with moist sandstone pulling up the long finish.

Decanted 2H+
Drink 2027-32.

This bottle is moving more in an Auslese direction than prior experience; a beautiful wine!

Paired to Chicken Adobo (Milk Street recipe) and I'm convinced that coconut milk ingredient dishes are a perfect match to Riesling. — 4 years ago

My my, it's been too long, my good friend. Delicious winery-only wine - loads of melon, white grape, apricot and peach skin. Clean and balanced acidity, not cloyingly sweet. Still is easily the best stateside Gewurtz on the market to my knowledge. Thanks @Mike Kolbeck, TWP for bringing this bottle home! I promise, there were street tacos in this container.. Picked this up at a street fair in Berkeley, CA. Vermentino is an Italian grape normally grown on the island of Sardinia. Very similar to Sauvignon Blanc. Flavors of pink grapefruit, pear, and white peach. — 3 years ago

Nose has candied pineapple, very ripe nectarine, straw bale, white/yellow flowers and lemon peel.

Palate has tangerine zest, Mandarin orange slice, under-ripe peach, wet river rocks, slightly waxy texture with a short finish.

A quite youthful bottle, revisit 2026+

On point with the Spätlese style connection per Vinous comments.

If you don’t know Wrath, you should. Across the street from SLH are their estate vineyards with unmatched QPR. Rich and tropical on the nose with loads of peach, buttery oak and citrus. The palate is perfectly balanced. Warm and toasty upon entry with rich stone fruits, the wine quickly reveals bright acidity and stony minerality. The long finish reveals and pleasant bitterness and a kiss of oak. Just lovely! — 5 years ago

Quite a unique 🇿🇦 Chard that's a cross between a 🇫🇷 Chablis, 🇺🇸 Chard & 🇩🇪 Riesling @ £30 this is a winner that's well balanced & as refreshing as being hosed down naked in the street 👍

This was actually a 5 puttonyos Angel, down the block at the wine shop on 8th street, treated a friend and I to half a bottle of this, pairing it with a couple cigars, perfectos, to be exact.

Legit night with friends.

I have to admit - I had to look up where Salina, Italy was after ordering this by-the-glass white labeled "must try" on the wine list at a high-end restaurant/bar down the street from me. Turns out Salina is one of the Aeolian islands growing the delicious Sicilian dessert wine Malvasia delle Lipari. This wine comes from those same Malvasia grapes, but is fermented dry. Aromatic and highly expressive - it smells of jasmine, ripe pear, white peach, chaparral, and mint. It's juicy and appetizing and a total treat to taste this corner of the wine world. — 8 years ago
