Fruity and citrus, very nice wine (if not completely my taste) — 3 months ago
This is a very tasty, Northern Rhône style Syrah from Horse Haven Hills in Washington state.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate and fruit forward.
Showing black fruits with light oak, vegetables, herbs, chocolates, coffee, tobacco leaf, spices and peppercorn.
Nice finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
Still young and needs a year or two in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
Nicely balanced with nice complexity. Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime.
Good by itself as a sipping wine.
Syrah grapes were aged in (29% new) French Oak barrels for 18 months.
14.4% alcohol by volume.

This is a delicious PetS, not too jammy. It has intense blueberry and raspberry flavors, with that distinctive undertone, peculiar to Washington reds, and tastier than it sounds,, of chocolate-covered mushrooms. — 2 months ago

Although this wine is always going in and out of style, it is guaranteed to raise a smile. I only wish this bottle was a vintage from 20 years ago today! It is perfectly balanced, medium bodied, with less pepper and more smoothness than the name might suggest. It went well with light Italian cuisine. — 5 months ago
