Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Hall, Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon

This Mount Veeder Cabernet delivers impressive consistency, with ripe plum and blackberry flavors that open the wine and carry seamlessly through the mid-palate. The concentration and depth are excellent—a direct result of the small grapes produced in Mount Veeder’s challenging terrain.

What stands out is the wine’s wide structure balanced by soft, approachable tannins. It’s substantial without being heavy, offering both immediate pleasure and the framework to age gracefully.

Definitely a special occasion recommend!

Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

I really enjoyed the complexity of this wine. Maybe it’s because they use 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and bottle unfiltered. Flavor profile includes blackberries, raspberry, and an earthy finish.
if you have a chance to enjoy a bottle, don’t hesitate.

Leave this open at least one hour before consuming. Rich Cabernet Sauvignon with leather and smooth tannins in the finish. Nice example of California Cabernet Sauvignon but not extraordinary. — a year ago

Estate Grown Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Inky in color with a reddish rim.

Pretty nose of black fruits with cedar, vanilla, tobacco, chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, licorice and cola.

Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruit forward on the palate with black currants, black plums, blackberries, cedar, vanilla, spices, espresso, cola, light herbs, chocolates, peppercorn and tobacco.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Mount Veeder in Napa Valley.

Elegant and nicely balanced. Fruit forward, rich and smooth.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 90 minutes of airtime

Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, or with a big piece of steak.

A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Zinfandel, 7.5% Petit Verdot and 7.5% Cabernet Franc. Aged in (33% new) French Oak barrels for 20 months.

14.9% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$75.

Mount Veeder Mondeuse 2012

Purchased at the winery on my single visit there, had gone to pick up the Syrah, and was very taken with this tiny production Mondeuse. Rich, but not heavy, rustic in some ways, but amazing “mountain fruit” depth and great acidity which largely hides the structure and tannins, long, lingering finish, needs a fair amount of cellaring, though beautiful tonight!! — a year ago

Mount Veeder Syrah 2008

Intense red fruited aromas and flavors, a little less tannic and structured than the 2007, but this shows bracing acidity at the present time, long, lingering finish, which the incredible acid backbone lifts and lengthens, another wine to ideally drink from 25-30 years after the vintage! — 9 months ago

Really good!

1hr+ decant. Drinking at its apex. Dark red color with purple rims. Super complex nose with too many things to list. Palate is equally complex with Napa sweetness, big tannins, and it just sticks to your mouth/tongue. Medium plus depth and finish.
