Mount Veeder Syrah

A perfect wine for aging another five years

Maybe a bad bottle since normally a favorite. Tasted sour with no depth of flavor

Still a puppy, but the paws are huge!

Intense red fruited aromas and flavors, a little less tannic and structured than the 2007, but this shows bracing acidity at the present time, long, lingering finish, which the incredible acid backbone lifts and lengthens, another wine to ideally drink from 25-30 years after the vintage!

2008

Surprisingly tart but otherwise a tasty and interesting syrah.

Finest Syrah in Napa Valley. No surprise that it is grown/produced by the Carole Meredith/Steve Lagier team. Very natural process. 560 cases of the 2008.
