Dark scarlet center with clear rims. Almost opaque. Wonderful fragrant nose. Notes of blue fruit, earth, violets, minerals, and some menthol. Meaty. Velvet glove in the mouth. Experienced this producer last year and wasn’t a fan but everyone deserves a second chance….Mr Prieure is redeeming himself…..Sommelier was a big fan too, recommending this over some other big names…..tasting notes: very light and delicate, scents of pickled cucumber (yes, really) and rhubarb. Not our usual deep berry concentration, this one is much more sophisticated, and deserving of the occasion and venue! — 2 years ago

Krupp Bros wine 4/4. Wow!! Although listed as a Cab Sauv, this is actually a 77% Cab Franc 15% Merlot 8% Petite Verdot wine. Inky purple in the glass and offers pure elegance. They should call this wine Mr Velvet. Some spice on the nose with black cherry, blackberry and clove throughout the finish. Big drinker. — 4 years ago
