Drinking in 2024. Inky with rich dark cherry jam. Cedar notes and tight tannins that open up over the long finish. — a month ago
La masía translates as "the farmhouse," which Marimar Estate was designed to resemble. Medium Ruby with aromas of red fruits, dried herbs and earthy spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with toasty notes and herb cinnamon spice. Full-bodied, fine soft textured tannins, long finish ending with juicy fruit and spicy herb character. Excellent white with acidity and floral notes that stand up well with food. Great sea food pairing. — 14 days ago
Beautiful Priorat. Blend of primarily Garnacha and Carinena. Dark garnet color. Aromas of black and red berries/currants along with sweet spices, dried rose petals and dried herbs. The juicy palate features red and blue berry fruit, menthol, orange zest and cocoa. Note of bloody iron on the lengthy finish. Silky tannins and texture. Medium bodied and nicely concentrated. Not as flashy/rich as the 2015. More elegant. Old school. Restraint. Balance. Oak is there, but it’s in the background already showing good integration.Closeout for $22 at K$L right now. Back up the truck. — 3 days ago
