Pure Chardonnay, without being overly oaky, hint of lemon, paired well with swordfish. — 2 months ago
Quite dark & structured with dark fruit, a touch moss, a whiff of fresh mushrooms,
On the palate this shows juicy acidity, a plush, firm tannic structure and dark cherry & ripe strawberry. Richer & a bit more burly, but soo drinkable and good friendly. This is a really good wine, and so good quality-price-ratio!

2013 vintage. The Premier Cru "Clos du Roi" (or sometimes spelled "Roy") is considered by many the best vineyard in Mercurey. 2013 was a challenging vintage in many respects, but this is delicious. Intriguing nose with coffee beans and cherries, intertwined with floral and herbal impressions. Very fresh in the mouth, with juicy sour cherries, subtle spices, and a slightly rustic tannic backbone. Very good length. No signs of fatigue, I wouldn't be surprised to see this holding up well for another decade. Abv. 13%. — a month ago

Nice everyday Burgundy. Tart black cherry, red tea leaves, lilacs. — 10 months ago
Made from Pinot noir grapes but the label for 2016 only states rouge. It has the right balance of sweet, spice and acidity Mercurey is a village in the Côte Chalonnaise sub-region of Burgundy. It is one of the five communal titles of the Chalonnaise and produces predominantly red wines from the Pinot Noir grape variety. — a month ago
Nice well balanced — 5 months ago
Lotta oak in play here. Almost like 1980s Cali Chardonnay. Nose features melted butter and toasted vanilla, with nice underlying stony soil tones. Ripe pear fruit. In the mouth, there’s that oak again in the forefront, but behind it there is some nice fruit and decents acids for a wine that is 14%. Finish is long. — 8 months ago

More expensive every vintage and still worth it in my opinion. More about pleasure than complexity. Consistently delicious juice. — 7 days ago
