Fresh peach, grapefruit, and apple! Great wine with food — 3 months ago
Opened for my 80th birthday. Following the delicious dinner and wines, we needed a bottle of port with the cake and other sweets. Mature but so fresh for its age, this port did not disappoint, it was yummy. And by the end of the evening, no wine and no port leftovers, ha, ha. — 6 months ago
Pretty complex, but of texture and length while still being very crisp and fresh — 9 months ago
Nice natural honest style. Transparant. Ripe korrelige fijne tannines. Doet iets denken aan een cote rotie, rijp, zongebakken, zonder gestoofd te zijn. Met frecheur. — a year ago
Citrus, refreshing and clean. — 2 years ago

Gary’s wine. Good but fruitier. Likely because of what we were drinking before. Worth trying this cheaper red again maybe. — 9 months ago
Really lovely! Juicy red! — 10 months ago
Lovely bouquet. Dark stone fruit, like black plum. A little acidic, fruity, and medium tannins. Love it! — 2 years ago
2021 vintage. Quinta da Fonte Souto is the first project from the Symingtons outside the Douro region. A 207 hectares estate with a around 45 hectares od vineyards in a cooler climate ( 500 m alitude) than the Alentejo plains. Florão is the entry level. This 2021 is a blend of Arinto ( 80%) and Verdelho ( 20%). Attractive nose with fresh ripe pineapple, flowers and a hint of fresh mint. Crisp and juicy. Very good value. — 3 years ago
[8-hour decant] Ripe, rich, very youthful still, with a noticeable tannic backbone, but also shows a sweet palate (think Graham’s/Fonseca, though the Symington family owns Graham’s, Dow’s, Warre’s and Cockburn’s, among others??), this should easily evolve/improve another 10-20 years, very long finish, outstanding vintage Porto, super long finish!! — 6 months ago
Smooth and delicious. Dark and flavorful, well balanced overall. Lots of grit at the end of the bottle. Worked well with biscuits and sausage southern meal. — 9 months ago

Taninos leves c/ intensidade na boca final. Light, mas muito bom c/ Steak Tartare — 10 months ago
Tart black raspberry and blackberry, light on the palate with tart fruit acidity.
Mulling spices added.... Keeps the black fruit flavors but makes it more like a cooked berry cobbler. Yum!! — 2 years ago
45% Alicante Bouchet—oooh, a teinturier—plus 30% Syrah (which makes its presence known in smoky, meaty notes) and 25% Alfrocheiro. Hearty wine, textured without being, say, thick. There’s a bit of raisination on the nose countered by salinity, a little licorice and a lot of smoked meat. On the palate, it keeps on with that contrast being heady but also vibrant. There’s some silky chocolate vibes underneath it all. A delight for dinner, but you can sip it solo if you so choose. — 3 years ago
Nice summer red - Vinho verde (didn’t even know this existed) — 4 years ago

From .375. Nice but getting a little muddled and wouldn’t age any further. — 3 days ago
