White Label Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

David T

This one will require age. The tannins are big and dry.

Nose is a bit shutdown at this stage. Nice mixed red fruits with barrels toast elements of; vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, spice & dry soils.

The palate is fresh and lovely with juicy, floral fruits of, blackberries, black raspberries, purple fruits, dark cherries & strawberries. Dry, crushed Rick power, dry top soils, dry brush, dark spices, black rich earth, dark chocolate, mocha powder, caramel notes, subtle dry tobacco, leather, some sage notes, anise, berry cola and really beautiful florals of nearly all darker colors. Excellent acidity. Well made, structured & balance. Solid wire to wire. Starts fruity, brings some herbaceous notes and fall on softened earthiness pick up 2-3 points in 8-10 years.

Wild Eyed Red Mountain Syrah 2012

Purchased at release and like most WA Syrahs needs time to achieve its potential. This wine is now soft and fully integrated with black and red cherry graphite tar menthol spice cedar smoked meat all in balance with just enoigh acid to keep it bright. Color is still deep ruby with no rim variation. I've had every vintage ever made of the Wild Eyed and remain loyal. — a month ago

La Lune Anjou Chenin Blanc 2019

Awesome stuff, but it’s nearly off dry. Massive body and acidity, tons of rich Chenin flavor. It’s practically dessert wine; would probably be amazing with some spicy Indian or Thai. — 8 months ago

Shepherd's Mark Estate Grown Destiny Ridge Vineyard White Blend 2022

This is a delicious Rhone style white wine from Horse Haven Hills in Washington State.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.

This Single Vineyard feels very much like a Rhone white.

A blend of 55% Roussanne, 30% Marsanne and 15% Viognier.

13.2% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

Brown Label Stagecoach Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

David T

This is the last fruit MH will get from Stagecoach. Gallo bought the vineyard. Seems the 1,300 acre site deal will help Gallo grow Orin Swift and Louis Martini, and down the road it may help it with new projects. Producers who purchased Stagecoach fruit include; Bryant Family Vineyard and Dalla Valle. Krupp sells fruit to more than 90 wineries, including Alpha Omega, Caymus, Duckhorn and Pahlmeyer.

Pretty nose with perfume, candied, purple florals. A lot beauty and elegance.

Beautiful tannins, soft, supple and dusty. Feel tiny in the mouth but are sweet & tarry. Ripe, juicy, blackberries, black raspberries, purple fruits, plum & strawberries. Powdery rocks, dry, river stone, light, fresh tobacco, used leather, steeped fruit tea, touch of fresh bay leaves, dark, rich soil, black licorice, chocolate cake, berry fruit cola, fresh, red, dark, purple and blue florals. Excellent rainfall acidity. Well structured, nice tension with very good balance. The long finish starts juicy, fruity and mixes in the soft earth. Lasts minutes. Hard to resist now and easy to drink young but would love to try this again in 10-15 years.
