Tignanello Toscana Super Tuscan Blend 2016

I think I preferred the 2015 but ever so slightly and as much as I struggle to believe glasses make a difference they poured the 2016 in a big cab glass and I think that distracted from the flavors that were evident in the tighter 2015 glass. — 8 days ago

Marchesi de' Frescobaldi

Tenuta Frescobaldi di Castiglioni Toscana Super Tuscan Blend 2020

This wine is medium dark, with a bit of light getting through the glass. The nose presents a savory show of spice and fruit. Blackberry and plum aromas are joined by oak spice, earth and coffee notes. The palate has plenty of that dark fruit, but also plenty of that savory side. Good acidity and firm tannins refresh the mouthfeel. The finish is medium. This is a great wine to pair with pork or roasted chicken, but I think it would also be nice with turkey on the Thanksgiving table.

Fonterutoli Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2015

Absolutely lovely dried red cherry fruit, fine acidity, medium-long finish, what I think of as a classic Chianti Classico!! — a month ago

Luce della Vite Toscana Sangiovese Merlot 2020

On nose, its violets, fruits, leather. On palate its tannic, high acidity, strong merlot acidity, licorice, earthy. Its still very young wine, give it 2-3 hours of decant or overnight with the cork. Enjoy! — 5 days ago
