La Bauge Au-Dessus Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir 2018

I’d like to think I could at the very least, name this as a California Pinot in a blind tasting. Text book. Very good. But I’m bored with ok textbook… — 23 days ago

Hildegard Estate Bottled Santa Maria Valley White Blend 2020

May be my favorite table white wine of all time. Complex, has weight, more amber and rich in color, fruit but not overly so, not oaky. Drank with spicy tuna sushi dishes. Was fantastic. — a month ago

Julia's Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

Delectable Wine
9.1

The 2022 Pinot Noir Julia's Vineyard is redolent of sweet dried cherry, spice, new leather, mint and sweet pipe tobacco. This aromatic, gracious Pinot is a charmer. All the elements are nicely balanced throughout. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2024)

'M' Smaragd Grüner Veltliner 2019

Fantastic GV. Very aromatic, tea, lime, pear, beautiful golden color. Paired with homemade tomato risotto with ham and burrata. — a month ago

Chante - Alouette Hermitage Blanc Marsanne 2019

The grape variety is Marsanne, not Syrah.

Pronounced peach and honey aromas, some ginger, minerality, acacia and nutty aromas.

An elegant and savoury finish!

Monier de La Sizeranne Hermitage Syrah 2018

Very smooth, with a dense mouthfeel. Deep black fruits like currants/cassis blackberries. Plus a lot of smoke and black pepper, tannins add bitterness but not a hint of astringency or grippiness, just structure. — 2 months ago
