Peach, key lime pie, Fuji apple, and brioche on the clean crisp nose. Fine creamy mousses lead to a supple and elegant palate. Fresh acidity and hint of chalky minerals.
For about the same price, I prefer Charles Heidseick NV bottling for its complexity and intensity. — 16 days ago
Happy New Year Everyone!!
Cristal for the parents and sparkling apple juice for the twins!
Cristal doesn’t hold a candle to my go to of Bollinger Le Grand Annee, but is always nice on a special occasion! Was very restrained and probably will be better in 5+yrs. — 19 days ago
Wow. Insane nose. Just god level epic. Black olive. Hint of green olive. Clay. Granite. So deep. So aromatic. Blown away aromas. So mineral. Goes through many phases. Spice. Game. So distinctive. Palate is young but so impressive. Precise like a laser, stunningly red fruited and a hint of decadence but really fine and pure. This will take hours to unfurl. And unfurl it will. As it always does. That’s what Sozet does. This is the final vintage, sadly. Louis died and his cousin sold off 18 and 19 in the barrel. Nose is getting crazy olive and floral after air. Palate has prodigious concentration but this will need 3-5 hours to come around I think. This is from old old vines. Same as Tunnel Pur Noir. What a finish. 9.5 based on what’s there now. It’s so obviously great. But it’s tight!
With an hour of air the complexity starts to really show. So much going on. Superb freshness and purity. Slowly getting there. 9.55 now. — 24 days ago
Functional Costco purchase @ $18.99. Delectable has this at $30. 🙄 Wouldn’t it be great for users & the app if we could buy wine through Delectable at more reasonable prices plus free shipping? Think of all the platform bugs Delectable could fix with the added revenue.
The nose shows; honeysuckle notes, ripe, ruby & sour lemons, overripe pineapple juice, dried apricots, yellow peach, touch of marmalade fruit, combo of white with shades of pink grapefruits, melted caramel, saline, limestone, soft, understated chalkiness, toasted nuts, candle wax, green leaves that are not quite eucalyptus, melted raw sugar, butterscotch notes with candied yellow lilies and a touch of mixed flower greens.
The body is; thick, full, round with high viscosity. Honeysuckle notes, ripe, ruby & sour lemons, overripe pineapple juice, dried apricots, yellow peach, tangerines, touch of marmalade fruit, combo of white with shades of pink grapefruits, melted caramel, vanilla, saline, white spice, limestone, dry, crushed volcanics, soft, understated chalkiness, toasted nuts, candle wax, warm toast, green leaves that are not quite eucalyptus, melted raw sugar, butterscotch notes with candied yellow lilies and a touch of mixed flower greens. The acidity is round and beautiful. The finish is; rich, ruby, elegant, well balanced fruit & earth and persists nicely for minutes.
Smashing with Turkish Dried Apricots.

Chardonnay was crisp and had citrus favor of apples and pears. I usually don’t like Chardonnay as it’s too oaky for me, but this is un-Oaked. Went well with cheese and a roast chicken for an afternoon meal! I would buy again — a day ago
A preferred house fir Corton Charlemagne and a favorite vintage from this house over the past decade. This bottle is spot on, in my humble opinion. Aromatics show tropical fruits of coconut, oak, acacia, and more. Mid palate of big bold resins and viscosity. Finish lasts more than a minute. Wish I had more bottles to pull out of the locker to enjoy!! — 5 days ago
Peter van den Besselaar
Vintage 2007 | gold colour. A smell with predominantly lychees and apricot. Shy spicyness. Nice balance with comforting sweetness. Vibrant. Paired with Char Siu Porc, Paksoi, Tofu Sichuan Style, Nasi Kuning and Omelet. Great combination. — 22 days ago
