Cuvelier Los Andes

Grand Malbec 2008

Great aged malbec. Deep purple in color. Really good fruit aromas. Wonderful balance of acidity, fruit and tannins. Ink, plum, hints of cocoa powder and leather on the palate. Really enjoyable. — 3 days ago

Para Maria de los Tecolotes Santa Barbara County Red Blend

Fluorescent purple. Mellow silky mouthfeel. Slightly soapy vegetal nose tricks you with lush boysenberry and milk chocolate. Thanks Bob — 2 days ago

Wow, unreal pure deep cherry fruit and a tiny dollop of Va that blows off in 20 junkies. Citrus concentrate as well. Unreal nose. So expressive. Just singing. Floral. Mineral. And that 2015 sunshine style fruit. Palate is pure., deep and juicy but is showing maybe 5% of what it can be. There are mineral/limestone dusty tannins. That are long and elegant along with a nice blast of fruit at the very very end. My score will go up as these morel reds need mega mega air to show as they should. I’ll be back. — 6 days ago

Los Alamos Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015

Really nice. Tobacco, blackberry…not really fruit forward. Tart cherry when I taste it. Great soft finish. Some leather tones. Enjoyed it! — 4 days ago

P.S. (Pagos Seleccionados) Ribera del Duero Tinto Fino 2004

Dark fruit and spice. Noble oak, fancy cigars, damp earth and a musky, funky undertow lurking underneath.
Rich, decadent and opulent. Or… structured, layered and distinguished. Exceptional balance. A step behind the legendary 01 but a magnificent wine nonetheless.

Pago de los Capellanes

Joven Roble Ribera del Duero Tempranillo Blend 2018

The nose was slightly warm and pruny which suggested an overblown/overripe wine but the palate, while full bodied and rich was balanced by decent tannins and just enough savoury wood spice to give balance. — 19 days ago
