Graacher Himmelreich Kabinett Riesling 2017

Dreamy citrus in a glass. Muted nose but the intensity on the palate does not disappoint. Viscous tangerine, bright mango, pineapple and peach. Long lasting acidity. Almost fruit loop finish. Love this on warm summer night. 🍑🍑🍑7.5% — 2 years ago

Papa Figos Douro Red Blend 2019

Great blend. Dusty and earthy. Red plummy fruits. Paired well with some amazing Italian at Apolonia in the Deep South Loop of Chicago. — 3 years ago

Art Series Margaret River Chardonnay 2016

Unscrewed and poured; no formal notes. These friggen Chardonnays from Margaret River. I’ve been blinded on them too many times to count and I never call it right. Instead, I always seem to call a high acid grape like Riesling of Sauvignon Blanc. The fruit is sometimes tropical, always with citrus and sometimes is shows green apple and always with awesome minerals. Acid is squarely in the high category. They are lovely wines that just seem to throw me for a loop. If Chablis, the Mosel and Sancerre had a love child. Drink now and through 2036 easy. A fabulous pairing with lamb massaman, larb and papaya salad. How can they hide the 100% new French oak so well?! — 7 months ago

Ancient Lakes of Columbia Valley Pinot Gris 2017

This is a astringent Pinot Gris that we tried on a road trip through the Cascade Loop. Bought a bottle after a quick tasting in Wenatchee, Wa.
The tasting was quick, due to winery closing.
The rep was amazing and let us try their whites.
We bought a bottle of their Pinot Gris!

Vinhos Barbeito

Rare Wine Co. Historic Series Special Reserve Madeira Savannah Verdelho

Translucent cold brew color, rather pungent citrus and roasted pecan nose. Yum already. Then medium sweet, deeply caramel more pecan on the palate. This wine feels like family and that’s not just my Austin-grandparent-pecan-picking nostalgia. It’s so friendly but capable of throwing you for a loop—how high is that alcohol? (19.5 abv)) but WHAT sort of kernel/nut elements are they and are they STILL judging where I went to school? These pecan-savvy questions fade as elegant smoky elements wave through to tell you it doesn’t matter so long as you graduated. It keeps you on your toes and keeps you looking towards more time together. — a year ago

Vecchie Terre di Montefili

Anfiteatro Colli della Toscana Centrale Sangiovese 1994

This wine has defeated time and honestly being from a vintage no one has ever talked about highly it comes as such a surprise. I had it last time around 10 years ago and it just is at least as good as it was...betterlet me say.
Perhaps it is the explanation of when they say that time isn't a flat line, but a circling loop?!?!
It has intensity and that softness of an aged wine that you might identify with sweetness (but it is not). It's unforgettable and endless.
I reckon i deserved it somehow, it was meant for me now.
It comes always in huge decision making moment of my life.
Unfortunately i have no more..is that a sign?
Final decision?
Simply love it❤🙏

I couldn't agree more on the political leaders of this country
Such a shame they are crumbling down what has taken so long to be put together ..so many sacrifices, choices..the agenda uunfortunately seems to be a worldwide one. Stay safe and strong

The premier’s don’t seem to accept that zero Covid cases is not achievable. My son works in New York - lives in Williamsburg and takes the subway every day to Manhattan. He said for the past 30 days on average there have been approximately 1300 new Covid cases every day and life goes on. There is a much higher percentage of the population vaccinated in NYC than in Melbourne or Sydney is a big difference.

I know what you're talking about
My family lives in Rome same same with NYC. My question though is if places like Australia really need the vaxx at all. We don't live a pandemic, we are experiencing a dictorial regime that is putting us in lockdown for no reason.
I have never met anyone in Melbourne affected by the virus if not as a financial consequence of this big show.
I understand youight not agree, but i find that here everything is so evident and honestly i don't hear anybody talking about covid risks, but just lockdowns risks and, allow me to say as per usual, it's all about the money. I hope i wake up tomorrow and it's just a nightmare but i am afraid that's not happening.
Take care my friend
