Medium lemon yellow fine , persistent perlage . Quite rich and ripe on the nose with some roasted nuts , lemon peel , some camomile , still quite restrained and a little closed. On the palate again quite full and rich , ripe lemon fruit , orange rind , roasted nuts and a creamy mouthfeel , certainly enough acidity to balance but on the richer side . Good length and lightly toasty finish . This is good now but will probably improve over the next few years and last well a further 5-10 . — 3 months ago

This 12-year-old Domaine Jean Dauvissat “Heritage” Chablis — popped and poured — is still drinking quite well, maybe not quite at the level of the 2014 Premier Cru bottles, but with the solid acidity, still very nice!! I just found 4 bottles in my cellar, and had no idea they were still there!!
@Lyle Fass, if you see this, other than reassuring me of my abject stupidity for burying these in a box with 1985 Raveneau Grand Crus (these were on the bottom, WTH!?!?), I’d love to hear any thoughts you might have on this wine!! — 10 days ago

Perfumed and ethereal, quite fruit-forward on the nose with aromas of cherry, rose petal, pine needles and earthy notes and a whiff of tar. Juicy, slightly rustic on the palate with flavors of crunchy red fruit (cherry, cranberry), licorice. Quite dry, slightly harsh tannins (drinking this very young). High acidity.
