My kind of wine. Well balanced, food friendly, 13.5% al. Medium tannins, tart plums or cherry. $20. Definitely buy again. — a year ago
80% Espadin / 20% Arroqueno. Tio Leonardo. Balanced fruit and earth if almost too Smokey. Left wanting more. — 6 years ago
Decanted for 3 hours. Opens with ripe blackberries and black cherries accented by forest floor and some cocoa, hint of floral notes. Has held onto its acidity. Tannins softened and nicely integrated. Beautifully structured. Long fruit finish. Outstanding. — 6 years ago
A great red wine, pairs well with beef dishes. — 7 years ago
Had this with a nice steak mushrooms and roasted melanzana with our own extra virgin olive oil. The wine was delicious, bold but not overpowering with a nice cherry after flavor. — 10 months ago
Pale-medium, lemon color.
Aromas of pineapple, floral, lychee.
Dry. Flavors of honeysuckle, orange blossom, lychee, mandarin. Bursting with flavor!

Beautiful Brunello! Silky textures with a lovely balsamic fragrance some 14 years later! The cherry effects are haunting — 5 years ago

Nice light summer wine. Subtle fruit. Chilled a bit before we drank it. Easy drinker. — 6 years ago

Beautiful wine from a top vintage. Drinkable now, but definitely still room for ageing. Dark fruit, like black cherries, with notes of leather and cedar. Also still clear green notes, such as paprika and pine needles. Typical San Leonardo style. — a year ago
easy drinking. not a whole lot of flavor — 4 years ago
Not your typical bold and complex Barolo. This one is lighter and more acidic. That being said, it was still delicious—just not what I expected. — 5 years ago
Had this about 6 months ago. Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa was born at the beautiful Villa Vignamaggio in 1479, at the time her father, Anton Maria Gherardini was Lord of this ancient Tuscan Estate. Deep Ruby with aromas of fresh dark/red berry fruits and slight smoky spicy notes. On the palate Black Cherry and Cranberry flavors, well balanced with acidity and fine soft tannins. The finish is long ending with earthy citrus character. — 6 years ago
A very nich chianti. Delicious on the nose, bit of mineral and oak taste. Warm aftertaste. — 7 years ago
