The description: 'Freshness, Fruit and Richness, the promise of Lavantureux Petit Chablis''.
The Petit Chablis from Roland Lavantureux is like a Bourgogne blanc from Antoine Jobard or Jean-Marc Roulot—a delicious, meticulously crafted wine that offers a taste of the magic found in the domaine’s more exclusive wines, with all the refreshing minerality and stoniness that is the hallmark of cool-climate Chardonnay grown on limestone. A sketch by da Vinci isn’t the Mona Lisa, but it still comes from the master’s hand.
The opinion: complex and beautiful.

This smooth Sangiovese is balanced and sweet, with bright blueberry flavors and a touch of residual sugar, just enough to stand up to spicy Italian food. Bellissimo! — 3 years ago
Beautiful Brunello! Silky textures with a lovely balsamic fragrance some 14 years later! The cherry effects are haunting — 5 years ago
Decanted for 3 hours. Opens with ripe blackberries and black cherries accented by forest floor and some cocoa, hint of floral notes. Has held onto its acidity. Tannins softened and nicely integrated. Beautifully structured. Long fruit finish. Outstanding. — 6 years ago

Lush, creamy and full of joy. This wine opens with an amazing jam forward and changes to floral forest as it open up. One of the best Italian blends I’ve had. — 3 months ago

Its 100% Sangiovese - Delectable would not change it… — 4 years ago
It's heavy and bold. Fruity sweetness: a cranberry, a cherry. With a chocolate and vanilla. Medium tannins, low acidity. — 6 years ago
Had this about 6 months ago. Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa was born at the beautiful Villa Vignamaggio in 1479, at the time her father, Anton Maria Gherardini was Lord of this ancient Tuscan Estate. Deep Ruby with aromas of fresh dark/red berry fruits and slight smoky spicy notes. On the palate Black Cherry and Cranberry flavors, well balanced with acidity and fine soft tannins. The finish is long ending with earthy citrus character. — 6 years ago
