Deep Ruby with classic aromas of sweet berry fruits with slight spice. On the palate flavors of dark plum and black cherry with nutty cacao and black pepper notes. Long finish, dry soft tannins, well balanced with acidity ending with sweet mineral tones. Great to drink now. — 24 days ago
So much character 👍🏻 — 13 days ago
Pop and pour, late night on the porch by the water.
Typical dark and fleshly style with tannins that show this bottle can easily take 10+ more years in bottle. They are coming around and show that this is still better paired with a rich, meaty stew or grilled/roasted meat dish. — a day ago
Four Seasons Collection Late Harvest Red Moscato 1997, Moldova
This is a very tasty sweet wine from Moldova. Actually, my first one from this region.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Sweet on the palate with nice acidity that balances it out.
Showing red and black fruits with sweet cherries, over ripen citrus fruits, Indian spices, caramel, mocha, nuts, dried figs, cooked raisins and walnuts.
This 25 year old, still has good acidity, which is nice to see.
Good right out of the bottle, and so much better after 3 hours of airtime.
It does not feel fortified, but I wonder how they got to that high alcohol...
A good dessert wine with great complexity.
I found it in a Russian grocery store for $4. Couldn't help myself.
I paired it with an Italian Fruit Tart cake.
15% alcohol by volume.

Lots going on here. At first, pear and yellow apple on the nose. With 10 minutes of air time it evolved to ripe nectarine. On the palate zippy acidity, loads of mineral and late summer peach flavor. Good stuff - I wouldn’t be surprised if it tastes very different a few hours from now. 🍑 ⚡️ — 6 days ago
Some Slovakian Egon Müller Riesling!? Pale lemon color. Medium mineral nose with wet rock and slate, green fruit, salinity; petrol comes in late. The palate is dry, highly acidic, medium alcohol, medium bodied, medium flavor intensity with green fruit, wet stone, and hints of honey. Medium finish. Very good wine. Impressively very good, it’s got balance, some complexity and an adequate tangy finish. Could ‘a fooled me! Looks, smells and tastes like a very good quality Mosel. — 15 days ago
