Lisboa Bonita Castelão Blend 2020

This is such a great wine!! I’m so impressed. Wasn’t expecting much out of it, but thoroughly wowed me. Super smooth and easy to drink - beautiful, soft notes, fruit, subtle hints of floral. one of the best random picks I’ve had in a long time — a month ago

Biografico Tempranillo 2020

Nose of baby diapers and band aids. And I like it!! Deep purple with a lot of funkiness. Lightly tannic. Would like a bit more fruit, but still like it. — 2 years ago

I’m not a Tempranillo fan generally. But it’s not as bad as Malbec at least.

Bonsai Öregtőkés Kadarka 2017

Alder Yarrow
9.4

I happen to think that Kadarka, a Hungarian grape that few have heard of, is one of the most interesting wine grapes around. Similar to Trousseau or Poulssard in weight and finesse, it’s totally delicious. This one is made from gnarled, 100-year-old vines (hence the name) whose delicate fruit is fermented and aged in steel. Aromas of dried flowers and red currant give way to dried herbs, strawberry and cherry flavors with notes of dried fennel seed in the finish. Juicy and bright and a mere 13% alcohol. — 3 years ago
