Saint-Veran, very close to Pouilly Fuissé but a bit south this warmer, is a great option for Chardonnay lovers recoiling at rising prices in the Côte d’Or. this wine is delightfully fresh with bright lemon, golden apple, ripe pear, white peach and a hint of new oak - in short a combination of the best of Burgundy but ripe like new world. 2007 was just heavenly. Displays the nice aging potential of these Brett wines. Still have about an assortment of their 2007s left in the cellar. In a few more years I can start trading the 2010s. — 11 years ago
