Extremely enjoyable. Very expressive and deeply characterful on the nose and palate. The fruit leans to very ripe apple and pear, cut with some sweet, ripe Meyer lemons and orange blossoms. Toast, vanilla and baking spices compound the whole experience. With all that said the balance and underlying freshness keep it all together perfectly. Really an excellent Pinot noir from Sancerre. After my wife and I took a sip we both exclaimed that we need to start buying more Sancerre rouge - just a great quality / price ratio, especially for Pinot noir. This is ruby red, with a dusty cherry nose. A touch restrained on the palate with lots of minerality coming through - great cherry notes on the palate, long finish. Really nice. — 7 years ago
