Gorgeous and opulent nose of dark cherries, mid season cherries, lovely fresh wet earth, penetrating minerality, decaying leaves and more. Stunning nose. 9.5 nose. Not that complex but so pure and precise. Palate is so juicy and ripe with gorgeous cherry fruit and epic cleansing acidity and terrific freshness. Cuts a swath across the palate Nose starts to get a lipstick like intensity after it airs out. Terrific tannins that are ripe and juicy. Really great energy here and length. Just a terrific value. — 10 months ago
Love this 1er Cru and these 2022’s are really coming into their own these last 2 months after being a bit hurly burly. Nose is deep cherry, wild mint, gorgeous florals and minerals but overall an impression of thoroughly ripe fruit. Palate is so juicy and sleek. Huge fruit. So deep and the vivid red cherry fruit soaks into the palate like a crash of waves. The white caps being the ripe and sweet tannins. Such a killer vintage for Laurent. This has the guts for 10-15 years of aging. So juicy. Can’t wait to see how air hits this. Watch this space. — 4 months ago
Always sultry, always glorious. Stanky late season cherry fruit, hint of barnyard funk that only adds allure. Palate is so full of fruit it’s ridiculous. Juicy and sleek, with unreal purity and freshness. 22 nails that freshness with decadence so well. Very pure and mineral. Wonderful tannins that suggest this is built for the long haul. Long finish. — 3 months ago
Nose is all wet earth, lime zest, meyer lemon, lemon oil, citrus, butter, and singing minerality. Palate is glorious! Rich. opulent and so pure. Super incisive and so balanced. This is drinking so well now. Laser focused and slippery with excellent apple and citrus fruit and terrific freshness and energy. Has that “22 glossiness” that is very unique to 22. Really round and so delicious. Needs no air. Pop and pour. Love how the 22’s are developing. Now with air the nose is super confectionary and kinky. Like Meursault cotton candy. Denser and chewier on the palate and so succulent. — 4 months ago
Opened and decanted. Tasting earth, leather oak on the finish. Dark fruit up front. Nice but wish the toasted oak was tamed a bit. — 9 months ago

Gorgeous wine and 22’s are so good now. Black cherry and dark red cherry with just terrific clarity. Wild mint and limestone galore. Palate has glorious fruit and energy. Gained so much elegance since 2023. Sappy, chalky, mineral and pure. Velvet tannins on the mid palate and become chalky on the finish. Air will do wonders for this. Juicy and rustic but also elegant. Quite a needle this wine threads. — 24 days ago
