Costco. Very good — 7 months ago
Just coming to maturity and drinking beautifully. Still lots of primary aromas and flavors - cassis, blackberry, black cherry, elderberry, red plum, violet, vanilla, baking spice, forest floor, tobacco leaf, cedar
Great balance of fruit with velvet tannins and acidity for structure.

The 2015 Durfort-Vivens has a perfumed bouquet with more ripeness and perfume than the previous vintage. Buoyant red berry fruit, blueberry and a touch of violet, there is perhaps more Margaux-like than the 2014. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fleshy with a fine acidity, a touch of white pepper and clove towards the finish and a hint of espresso on the aftertaste. This is a superb Durfort Vivens, arguably the finest up to that point. Tasted twice, both at the château and at Jascott's Bordeaux tasting in London. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2023)

Fantastic. Very deep, mature: leather, smoke, tobacco, oak. Very dry, high acidity. — 10 months ago
Hard to believe it’s the same grape that goes toward some of the most boring white wines available. This is wild; pretty peach color from a little skin contact, slight oxidative notes which add to the complexity without tiring the wine out, very lively, intense and fairly long finish, most of the fruit is around apricots. Deep orange gold… the color of Jurançon or Sauternes (this is Vin de France). Honeyed dried apple on the initially shy nose. Joined on the medium full palate by stone fruit, dried unsweetened pineapple, and a firm, almost tannic mineral streak on opening that softens to a more velvety feel over time. Finish is moderate length and continues the palate. Dagueneau style in a wine from Le Sud-Ouest that, like his others, develops and changes over the course of a meal from steely with the starter, to dried fruitier with the entree, and finishing with a bit more roundness. Remarkably ready for pork, rich seafood, and cassoulet now, but will reward and continue to do so well into the early 2030s. — 7 months ago
Crushed silex rocks, a bit of rubber, hay, white peach, apricot... This is quite complex! The palate shows a relatively strong acid drive, some yellow fruits all along, a good width and a soft mouthfeel, some minerally notes too, almost a chalky layer, and some yellow fruits and tangy, almost citrusy notes in the rear. This is pretty good and the value is amazing at around 12 eur retail — 9 months ago

2nd label but still pretty classy: tons of character & Left Bank flair: cherries & red currants, cigar box, vanilla, cassis, some herbaceousness, palate was delicious w/red fruit & cassis galore, silky, finely integrated tannins, nice weight and balance. Length on finish is the only giveaway this is not classified growth. Overdelivers for price point. Safeway Steal — 2 months ago
