Light Ruby, about 1/3 whole clusters were used and aged in French oak, 65% neutral and 35% new. Aromas of berry fruits with floral spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry, light in style, with notes of tea, well balanced with acidity. Soft velvety tannins, medium length, ending with an earthy mineral tang. Very nice! Wow! This is a great viognier, although my husband said “it doesn’t knock my socks off”. Has a slightly sweeter finish than I like, might have been a year with sudden cold snap? — 5 years ago

Pretty average Syrah. But very drinkable, and good value. — 9 months ago

Jaffurs Wine Cellars was founded by Craig Jaffurs, known for his Rhone blends, and released his first commercial wine in 1994. Craig turned the business over to Dan and Janelle Green in 2016. About 40% of the wine was aged for 6 months in neutral oak and the rest in stainless steel, which keeps the wine fresh. Aromas of tropical fruits and elegant floral notes. On the palate layered flavors of peach, apricot and honey with refreshing acid balance. Nice mouthfeel, medium length, ending with refreshing fruit. Very nice! Tasting Sample! — 6 years ago
