I've always wanted to try a Cobb Pinot. He's also the winemaker for Les Claypool Purple Pachyderm line too.

Wookey Jack Black Rye IPA

Good. Hard to get this type of beer made well. This is not woodsy or muddled in grain. Good, rich, balanced. — 3 years ago

Napa Valley Brut Blanc de Blancs 2014

Jack and Jamie Davies revived the historic vineyards and cellars in 1965. Today, their son Hugh, continues their mission. Coming off their highly successful 12’ & ā€˜13 vintages, the 2014 is also 100% Chardonnay straw with aromas of floral stone fruits and citrus notes. A terrific crisp sparkler with crisp apple, peach and lemon flavors, fine mousse with tiny bubbles. Tangy acidity on a lingering finish ending with a yeasty creamy character. Nice! — 6 years ago

Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2018

One of the few times I gave a wine time to open up and decanted it. Very smooth and even my husband enjoyed a few sips (not a wine drinker). I have a few bottles of 2019 and am wondering how they will compare — 6 years ago

(Black Label) Old No. 7 Tennessee Sour Mash Whiskey 2019

Some days, you want something stronger than wine, and today has been well.......one of those days.

Old No.7 brand, since 1866, a sour mash whiskey favorite. Jack & Coke works for me.

Jack London Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Pastiche has half price wines on Wednesday’s so I went for one of their higher priced ($64) bottles. Haven’t had a Jack London Vineyard in a long time so I thought this was the time to try it. Not very complex and a tad sweet. I’m amazed that they can sell this at the $64 price on other nights. Don’t know the retail for this wine. Don’t think I would order again. — 6 years ago

Jack Creek Cellars

Kruse Vineyard Grenache 2014

Transparent burgundy with orange tinged halo in the glass. On the nose, one detects dark cherry, black pepper, and barely a hint of floral notes. The dark cherries reappear in the mouth with a bit of smoky sweet complexity and medium tannins. Finish lingers a little. I’d say it is quite a nice versatile wine. — 7 years ago

Jack Robert's Run Sonoma Coast Syrah

Cork was almost black on the end. Dark purple in color. Heady scents of violets and smoke. First drink is bright raspberry with some acidity. It slides into dark fruit, gravel, smoke. Incredibly smooth. Finish leaves me wanting for more! — 7 years ago
