Nose is so sexy. Sexy cherries and roses. Pink and red roses hand crushed and jammed in your face. As it opens more dusty roses
Palate is sexy cherries. Pink rose internal aromatics. So juicy. A bit bitter. So good.

Basins. Clear light but enough flavor to like much — 3 years ago
Made half of a red grape (Dolcetto) and half white (Cortese) but looks red. It is so rich and spicy. Honestly, it sings in a Negroni or twist of such. It is rich. It’s a mincemeat pie in a flaky butter crust. On the rocks with an orange twist gives arias. I also super dug it with a bit of bubbly (I had a frizzante on hand) and a touch of ice. — 2 months ago
One of the best Apothis wines yet, its medium bodied and full flavor, absolutely exquisite. — 9 months ago
When in limbo, take a trip to the inferno (or Danilo Thomain’s enfer d’arvier). If this is hell, then I think I’ll settle in for a toasty spell. Crunchy pomegranate, cranberry, blackberry, raspberry (so much bramble!) and dried alpine herbs on the nose and palate. Dark stones. Volcanic spice. Vivacious, hypnotic. — 3 years ago
Light but powerful, I think it has room to grow. — 3 months ago
Light body with well balanced tannins — 3 years ago
Nose has warmed strawberry, tangerine, apricots and wet roses. Quite expressive tonight, marked improvement from our prior several months earlier.
Palate has under-ripe strawberry, cool Clementine slice, (light) fresh cherries and wet slate. Nice acidity and refreshing finish. Decanted 90m.
Truly, Summer in the glass on a beautiful evening.

On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the the Boston Pops Orchestra. Our Conductor Keith Lockhart is leading an all John WILLIAMS program, with Mr. Williams (hopefully) sharing some of his wonderful stories to accompany the scores.
The program includes selections from..Superman, Heidi, Jaws, The Towering Inferno, Memoirs of a Geisha Oliver, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Olympic Fanfare & Theme, JFK, Schindler's List, The Witches of Eastwick, Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Empire Strikes Back, The Force Awakens and...Star Wars. So to say we're going to be well versed into the JW catalog will be the understatement of the evening for sure!!! — 3 years ago

Magnum format, was saving to drink with a good friend who lived around lake Como and introduced me to inferno docg. Look, this was a 9.1 nose, 8.8 palate to be honest. Had nice dried rose petal and light tar, strawberry aroma which intensified after an hour or so, and was delicate and refined; palate never caught up; light bodied with short finish; some shitaki mushroom and just fallen leaves; not much complexity on the palate. Rating inflated as we enjoyed it together with parmigianno, Comte, pecorino. Who cares, memories are a huge part of why I enjoy certain wines. — 6 days ago
