Older for a Dolcetto and not as tannic as I was expecting. Pretty acid-forward, blackberry, tart cherry, a little saline, some Juicy Juice on the finish. From Shawn’s. — 6 years ago
Pretty full bodied for barolo and plenty of oak and grip still. But great structure still and pretty solid balance. Not for the classicists, but fun to drink. — 9 months ago
Lovely earthy nose, slightly spicy on palette, light in color but long finish, very very very good value, some green tank a so could do with a bit of age. — 5 years ago
Great light white, discovered from 10 Italian Cafe with Rachel in Carytown. — 7 years ago
Interesting Pinot Nero from piedmont. Absolutely bone dry yet very well balanced that opens into a wonderful example of Pinot after several minutes of aeration. — 8 years ago
Solid white wine. Kinda like pinto grigio — 3 years ago
Last bottle of this incredible private label value from Garagiste. Apparently made by Icardi (see cork), this is still not quite at its apogee, but it’s getting close. Classic Barolo nose features clean gravel, ripe macerated cherries, fragrant leather, rose petal, and spice. Mouthfilling flavors of dark cherry, old barrel, and the finish goes savory/minerally as it progresses. Tannin is still abundant and a little puckery at the close, but food will tamp that down. — 4 years ago
