Something else. Peated high high. Comparable to the Laphroaig Quarter Cask. I'm on a boat — 7 years ago

Just a sip and I'm entranced. Full, rich, cocoa covered dark fruit and berries. Lush tannins leave me wanting more. In another year you will be lucky to share this one. — 8 years ago
Dark, sweet, youthful fruit. I'm not sure that this one was ready to go yet and rather sure infanticide just happened tonight. Still, a nice full bodied Amarone can be a delight when it is like THIS. Poured into glass with a very dark, black inky component. Nose of fig, molasses. The entry is sweet, with dark youthful, acidic blackberry and toasted caramel. The finish is sweeter, youthful fruit that is well-balanced. Not too hot, not too tannic. For being so young, and not really ready to go, I can only see how this one is going to drink in 3-4 years. 2018-2025 — 8 years ago
Celebratory dinner at Ryan and Nancy's! I'm a godfather! Smooth finish, easy to enjoy. — 7 years ago
Been holding on to a few bottles only because I'm too lazy to open because of the wax seal. Actually, it's not that hard to open. Very smooth and a good time to drink. Would not suggest holding much longer. Had lunch with the family many years ago and they were very gracious welcoming us in their home. Also, they've been supporters of Meals on Wheels SF. Gotta respect those who respect and help the elderly!!! Cheers! — 8 years ago
Tom Casagrande
Classic old-style lighter Valpo. Cherry, almond, bitter herbs, and gravel on the nose. Bright and almost ethereally textured on the flowing palate. Nice acids, and a slightly bitterish cleansing close. Imperfect? No, perfect. (The 9.3 doesn’t reflect that this is as complex or complete a wine as, say, a Burgundy or Napa Cab to which I might give the same rating, but that it is exactly what it is supposed to be and I’m enjoying it for that.) — 3 months ago
